5. PRACTICE TEACHING EXERCISE… Find at least one person to talk to for 10 or 15 minutes who agrees to learning your definition of Yoga and a brief look at the 8 limbs. See if you can give a comprehensive description of the terms and history/philosophy of Yoga and the 8 Limbs in 10-15 minutes and then ask if they have any questions. PREPARE THIS, write a script +/or outline and keep track of time. JOURNAL about the experience afterwards. At least .5 hrs, YTT5.

3. 1 hour *YTT5 - CREATE A STANDING SEQUENCE OF YOUR OWN, at least 5 postures (up to 10 maximum), all with at LEAST 1 modification or variation/option. UPLOAD a photo of the notes or sketches you used for planning this sequence. Learning how to plan and remember sequences from nots will be a crucial part of becoming a competent yoga teacher. Spend at least 1 hour on this!!!

5. (PART 2: see MODULE 4, SECTION 4, #5, YTT2 for part 1) Then, think about the asanas we discussed in class and see if you can come up with an asana of your own for each chakra? Why did you chose the ones you did? UPLOAD a screenshot or photo to our MEDIA album. Have fun with this! 1 hour, YTT5.

4. TEACH a style of pranayama. First come up with a plan. How many reps, what kind, for how long, intro, closing, etc… PRACTICE this class with someone you know as your student online or in-person. ASK them for critical feedback. YTT5, 1 hr.

5. PRACTICUM: Consider the 5 elements on p 10 in your YTT manual. Using your knowledge so far create a lesson plan to teach with the goal being introducing and explaining these 5 elements (physically AND energetically). Then find a student and practice teach, OR upload a recording of your class to our media album. YTT5, 1 hour

2. RISE + VIBE ASSIGNMENT: silent practice… unguided with no music, no video cues, no notes or books, just you + your yoga mat + your bretah. PRACTICE asana, mantra, pranayama, whatever you like, all by yourself for at least 30 minutes. WRITE a reflection and email it to chrissylefavour@gmail.com to receive credit.
TRY AGAIN with BLINDFOLD. For another 30 minutes. These are ways in which we TURN our senses INWARD.
Will happily credit up to 2 hrs in YTT5 here. Give yourself time over the next few weeks to complete these practices!

2. While creating your workshop first choose a topic that interests you (full moon, social justice, ancient texts, a certain style of yoga, nature, science., etc etc) conduct reseaRch and formulate a class plan that aligns. Plan this workshop to be a MINIMUM of 2 hours and then submit your lesson plan to Chrissy via email. Up to 2 more hours credit, YTT4!
PLUS: 1 hour YTT5… TEACH the workshop! Film yourself teaching this online or in a room with real people. Upload you video to YouTube and share the link with Chrissy OR upload to our YTT media folder.

6. INDEPENDENT STUDY // GRADUATION. 1.5 hrs, YTT5 and 2 hrs, YTT4. 3.5 hrs total. Develop and present your graduation. Consider lesson planning elements, EMAIL Chrissy a rough draft and any questions. Spend this time between now and the end of Module 10 to enjoy this part of your study. You’re doing GREAT!

3. TEACHING A FINAL CLASS: This must be recorded or done in-person during one of our scheduled training sessions. Create a full class (30 minutes minimum) which may be based off of any topics explored prior or something completely new! Consider marketing strategy, setting, lesson plans, class elements, etc. 1 hr YTT4 + 1 hr, YTT5. UPLOAD the final recording to the media folder here or send Chrissy a direct link.

2. Final Presentation/Graduation 1 hr each YTT3, YTT4 and YTT5; 3 hrs total. 3 hours credit time to create + present a well-rounded graduation. Feel free to consult with Chrissy!
