The 2026 100 hr YTT Intensive:

January 12-March 15, 2026


Week 1

    • 6 am Mantra Practice w/ Chrissy. +Homework: Choose one of the mantras from today and practice writing it for at least 5 minutes. Lakhita japa is the practice of written repetition. This is a great tool for learning and memory! Up to 1 hr, YTT1.

    • PRACTICE: A 60 min ½ Primary Series w/ Chrissy. 1 hr, YTT1.

    • An intro/biography exercise: write about yourself in the third person. Ex: “Chrissy is a yoga teacher and animal lover……” Direct this towards an audience of potential yoga students. Include whatever you like, perhaps a focus on your own journey to and thru yoga thus far, 2-3 paragraphs and uploaded here to our YTT media album along with a photo of yourself! ½ hr, YTT4.

    • 2.5 hrs total.

  • PRACTICE Rocket Yoga with Ellie Schiappa + do a journal entry considering Styles of Yoga and your own exposures/experiences. 1 hr, YTT1.

  • NO Live Classes today. Please follow along below:

    • REVIEW and have handy PAGE 10 of your YTT manual “5 Elements of Practice” and PAGE 11, the Pranayama Page!

    • WATCH Intro to Ujjayi Pranayama with Chrissy and leave a COMMENT on the video: KEYWORDS: ujjayi = triumphant, victorious; prana = lifeforce, energy, vitality, breath; yama = restraint, control, regulation. ½ hr YTT 1, ½ hr YTT2.

    • PRACTICE Back-to-Basics Vinyasa Class with Chrissy. 1 hr, YTT1.

    • HOMEWORK: Create a “Foundations” sequence including your considerations of what is foundational to a regular yoga practice. INCLUDE: breath (pranayama), postures (asanas) and philosophy. Write it down, practice it, etc… Then, Record and upload this video to our media album here! (5 minutes minimum, 15 minutes maximum plz!) 1 hr, YTT4.

    • 3 hrs total.

    • WATCH + COMMENT Intro to Prana, inc Bandha and Ujjayi. ½ hr, YTT2.

    • CLICK HERE to READ Ch 1 from Yoga Anatomy as referenced in class (this is a LONG + DENSE reading, take your time, no presh) and then RESEARCH ujjayi and bandha to find some more benefits and info. SHARE you findings (articles, links, pics, stories, etc) via an email to Chrissy! 1 hr, YTT2.

    • PLUS Practice MELLOW FLOW with Chrissy. 1 hr, YTT1.

    • 2.5 hrs total.


Week 2

  • PRACTICE Ganesh Mantra Meditation *problem solving and handling obstacles* with Chrissy. Plus, JOURNAL, what are some obstacles you have overcome to get to where you are today? 1 hr, YTT1.

    PRACTICE Intro to the Second Series of Ashtanga Yoga with Chrissy. 1 hr, YTT1.

    HOMEWORK: WATCH: The 8 Limbs and our family/philosophy tree with Chrissy. Lineage Part 1. CREATE: a visual representation of your own being, feel free to include important places and philosophies or values (like the 8 limb tree on p 52) as well people like the lineage chart (p 50) and/or any other strong influences on your sense of self…*if you’ve done this once, try doing it again! Upload a photo of this to Google media album! 1.5 hrs, YTT4.

  • PRACTICE Rocket Yoga with Ellie! Week 2.

    Plus a JOURNAL PROMPT. Consider different styles of yoga… What styles have you practiced before? Why di so many styles exist? Do you have a style? What about teaching style? Are styles useful? or not important? ….

    1 hr, YTT1.

  • Pranayama Practicewith Chrissy. Intro to Nadi Shodana.

    Intro to CHANDRA YOGA with Chrissy.

    1.5 hrs, YTT1.

  • WATCH: Intro to Nadis and Types of Prana (the 5 Vayus) with Chrissy. Take notes, ask a question or leave a comment, and draw diagrams! 1.5 hrs, YTT2.

    HOMEWORK: RESEARCH Ida + Pingala, or Left and Right sides of the body. Pay attention to language around opposition, binaries and duality. What do you find? What’s the tone? EMAIL Chrissy a link or two of interest, or share a find/question! Up to 1 hr, YTT2.

    PRACTICE 30 minutes of Asana with Chrissy. .5 hr, YTT1.

    PRACTICE TEACH: The “How-To” Exercise. Choose something simple that you know how to do well, with confidence and record yourself explaining “how-to” do it. Consider tools needed, how to ensure success, tone and personality. A few examples include “How-To make scrambled eggs” or “How-To make a paper snowflake”… UPLOAD your video to our media album here, 1 minute-10 mins maximum. Try not to overthink this, lets say 30 mins total time maximum, .5 hr, YTT5.

  • BOOK CLUB. CLICK HERE for the reading! And then WATCH and TAKE NOTES (leave a comment, too!) Ch 2, Part 1 of the Yoga Makarand. 1 hr, YTT3.

    • CHOOSE 1 Yama and 1 Niyama (p 9 of YTT manual, and referenced in reading!). Write them down in your note (Sanskrit + English) and email your choices to Chrissy! We’ll revisit these again + again over the next weeks!

    WATCH Types of Yoga with Chrissy. 1 hr, YTT3.

    1. Homework #1: Choose 1 "old school" style discussed in the video to research. Does the practice change if we study yoga as a piece of human history? How? Can we gain knowledge of self through this study? Respond to Chrissy via email: chrissylefavour@gmail.com

    2. Homework #2: BRAINSTORM 5 styles of "new school" yoga and write what comes up in the comments below the video

Week 3

    PRACTICE Ashtanga, 1 hour Short-Form with Chrissy.

    Write in your JOURNAL. Unprompted. What’s up?

    JOURNAL PROMPT: Consider your own experience of Pranayama. How does it feel? Seated vs during asana? As the 4th limb, what insight does it offer to the 5th, pratyahara? Anything else…?

    PRACTICE Chandra Yoga with Chrissy

    2 hrs, YTT1.
