Yama/Niyama Meditation + Sutra Study with Chrissy. HOMEWORK: READ THIS ( **it’s 18 pages so take your time!) and then CHOOSE 1 yama and 1 niyama for contemplation, 1.5-2 hrs, YTT3.
WATCH: The 8 Limbs and our family/philosophy tree with Chrissy. Lineage Part 1. CREATE: a visual representation of your own being, feel free to include important places and philosophies or values (like the 8 limb tree on p 52) as well people like the lineage chart (p 50) and/or any other strong influences on your sense of self… Upload a photo of this to Google media album! 1.5 hrs, YTT4.

INCLUSIVITY: READ this article and explore the issues around EQUALITY in yoga spaces. Pick one of the 5 key points at the end to RESPOND to. Consider these questions: who has practiced yoga historically? Where does yoga come from? Who practices yoga today? What do the ancient texts and scriptures tell us about inclusivity? How can you (as a practitioner and teacher) better support inclusivity? Email Chrissy a response including at least one resource you found insightful during your search! 1 hour, YTT3.

PRACTICE Mellow Vinyasa with Chrissy: 60 mins.
Giant Overview with Mindy: Yoga Alliance Standards, Anatomy Manual, Anatomical Terms + Body Systems. Homework: Email mindy.pistacchio@gmail.com your anatomy background, teaching background and yoga background. What would you like to get out of this anatomy training? Please be specific. What is your learning style? 2 hours, YTT2.
PRACTICE TEACHING EXERCISE… Find at least one person to talk to for 10 or 15 minutes who agrees to learning your definition of Yoga and a brief look at the 8 limbs. See if you can give a comprehensive description of the terms and history/philosophy of Yoga and the 8 Limbs in 10-15 minutes and then ask if they have any questions. PREPARE THIS, write a script +/or outline and keep track of time. JOURNAL about the experience afterwards. At least .5 hrs, YTT5.

PRACTICE Ashtanga Standing Sequence with Modifications with Mindy. 1 hr, YTT1.
1 hour *YTT5 - CREATE A STANDING SEQUENCE OF YOUR OWN, at least 5 postures (up to 10 maximum), all with at LEAST 1 modification or variation/option. UPLOAD a photo of the notes or sketches you used for planning this sequence. Learning how to plan and remember sequences from nots will be a crucial part of becoming a competent yoga teacher. Spend at least 1 hour on this!!!
