SECTION 1

  1. PRACTICE Mantra Meditation with Chrissy. .5 hr, YTT1

  2. PRACTICE Ashtanga with Chrissy. 1.5 hrs, YTT1. *emphasis on Sun Salutes and Standing Sequence

  3. READ: Curves of the Spine and send a response applying what you learned to your own practice… As a student? As a teacher? What can we learn from ancient human history (physically, mentallly, etc)? EMAIL your response to Chrissy. 1 hr, YTT2.

  4. PRACTICE this Identity Meditation technique featuring Nikita Patel. .5 hr, YTT1.

    • THEN Record a video, minimum 60 seconds, introducing yourself and why you practice yoga. Consider where yoga falls into your identity, remember Yamas + Niyamas. UPLOAD this video to our media album. .5 hr, YTT4.

  5. Meet Stephanie Smith and practice an INTRO to Kids Yoga with Pete the Cat! Consider professional teaching styles, personalities and authenticity. Pay attention to how different teachers use different techniques… ENJOY! .5 hr, YTT4.

  6. WATCH/LISTEN/PRATICE: Yama/Niyama Meditation + Sutra Study with Chrissy. 1 hr, YTT3.

  7. COMPLETE WORKBOOK page 9.

SECTION 2

  1. BROWSE the Grateful Yoga studio blog: by Chrissy. WRITE your own blog piece that expresses your personal philosophy around practicing and/or teaching yoga. Consider these questions: How does it FEEL to learn and live in yoga? Where does yoga belong? What have you learned about the yamas and niyamas? How is it applied? This is PRACTICE in self expression. 1 hr, YTT3. (you may write up to 2 more of these for 2 more hours credit over the 10 module course) EMAIL to Chrissy.

  2. PRACTICE Mellow Vinyasa with Chrissy 1 hr, YTT1.

  3. BioMechanics with Sara Lamie. 1.5 hrs YTT2. Please READ the video description for Sara’s contact and some journal prompts for reflection on this class.

  4. PRACTICE Healing Mantras with Chrissy. .5 hr, YTT1. Doc linked here.

  5. Types of Japa + Teaching Mantra with Chrissy. HOMEWORK: Practice teach a mantra to a friend or family member, online or in person. Comment on and share your experience with Chrissy including which mantra you taught and how it went! 1 hr, YTT4.

  1. PRACTICE F L O W Down with Chrissy. 45 mins, YTT1.

  2. Lesson Planning Elements with Chrissy. This practice is essential to your development as a teacher and something I still incorporate today. REFERENCE DOCUMENT. Homework: DO IT! Plan some lessons. 1hr, YTT4.

  3. PRACTICE: Yoga for Beginners! with Mindy. 1 hour, YTT4. Things to consider, setting up a class, etc for beginners … Remember, we were all beginners once!

  4. Types of Yoga with Chrissy. 1 hr, YTT3.

    • Homework #1: Choose 1 "old school" style discussed in the video to research. Does the practice change if we study yoga as a piece of human history? How? Can we gain knowledge of self through this study? Respond to Chrissy via email: chrissylefavour@gmail.com

    • Homework #2: BRAINSTORM 5 styles of "new school" yoga and write what comes up in the comments below the video

  5. PRACTICE Caribbean Flow with Bibby. .75 hr, YTT1.
